| I plan to take cuttings of Purple Majesty this fall and overwinter them in the florida room. By the time you get them, if they overwinter, it will be a year since your post. I'd have replied earlier, since at least we're in the same state, but I didn't find this hybrid until it showed up at Lowe's in July. If you need pineapple sage you can ask me about getting cuttings from the plants at New Jersey Audubon's Rancocas Nature Center. Other salvias there include Marachino, Micrphylla San Carlos Festival, Indigo Spires, Greggii Navaho Red, Coahuiliensis (however you spell it?), Black & Blue, and lot of seed of Coccinea Lady in Red. I am looking for other hummingbird plants to add to the collection there. Once I see what will survive there the garden will be properly labeled, and could include contributors, since it is public and supposed to be educational. |
