Do you think it is ok to put my Autumn Sage in the ground?

I've had it in the garage before it started freezing because I didn't want it to freeze. Its not getting much light though. I don't want it to die. Do you think it would be better off in the ground with the cold or in my garage without enough light? Thanks!

Depending on the size of the pots, they can easily take 20 to 25 degree lows. Below that, they will be fine in a garage for colder spells.

If temperatures in the garage get above 40 degrees for a lengthy time, look for defoliatiion as a sign they need to be moved outside.

I have seedlings of Salvia greggii germinate in fall
and make ot thru winter no problem I am 10-15 degree's
warmer than you. Plants in the ground will do better
than plants out in pots. I have already started prunning
back my S.greggii and S.microphylla's with out any
problems.
