Salvia longistyla

I have just acquired this salvia, but can't find much info on it, other than it will get 6' tall X 4' wide. Is it stoloniferous? It sure looks like it is, even though my plant is still quite small. How much sun does it need? thanks

Did not notice any stolons....but to be honest I didn't look! This was a very poor performer here in England, huge plant taking up too much space in the glasshouse, and to my eyes, rather dreary, if elongated, dull red flowers. BUT...could be great in your climate...hope that you will enjoy it.

Think it is related to S. cinnabarina, which is a thug! Not stoloniferous but roots along the ground in an alarming manner....even more so than scuttelarioides and procurrens.
