Navajo Rose

I was doing a walk-about in the gardens today and spotted a new Salvia greggii blooming.... Navajo Rose. This particular plant had blossoms that reminded me of a dancer with a dark pink top and ruffled skirt of dark pink and white.... kind of a reverse Hot Lips. It will be interesting to see if the other Navajo Roses do the same thing... the pics always show them to be just pink.

Salvia greggii Navajo Rose and S. g. Navajo Pink are my hybrids, licensed by Ball Seed through PlantHaven. My records show Navajo Rose to be the one with the extra-wide lower lip and the white eye in the throat, and Navajo Pink to be the one with the dark calyxes.

I checked some of the online images and I think the images have been switched, but there is not enough detail to tell for sure.
