I was reading over your website about how you became interested in Salvias. You mention that you saw a beautiful stand of Salvia uglinosa at a local nursery and got interested in it from there. Would that perhaps be the lovely speciman found in the gardens at Joy Creek Nursery in Scappose? If so, it's that very stand of s. uglinosa that got me curious beyond the nemerosa varieties as well! Mine has never gotten as impressive as the one there though. I should move it to a wetter spot.
