Salvia cedroensis

In my earlier posting regarding What's blooming in your garden, I neglected to include two specimens of Salvia cedroensis, endemic to Cedros Island, 300 miles south of San Diego and 62 miles off the coast of central Baja California. The two were hidden from view with the multitude of Artemesia californica that have sprouted up this year. The flowers are waning but pix included here. This species is super pungent and does well here in Santa Barbara County as a xeric.
