| Hi, my salvia divinorum plant has developed a strange purple stem. the bottom 1/4th of my stem is a very dark purple and as my plant grows the purple coloring continues to spread. any ideas what could be causing this?

| That is normal, but it usually colors up on the leaf stem. Your plant looks healthy. The related S. recurva and S. madrensis do the same thing. |
