Salvia elegans 'Golden Delicious'

Does anyone have experience with this Salvia? I got one at a nursery yesterday. Did a Google on it and Dave's Garden said it blooms in mid spring. It has some flowers on it now. It is a variety of Pineapple Sage, I thought they bloomed in the fall. Thanks in advance for any information.

It should be much like regular pineapple sage, but somewhat less vigorous. It is a patented plant, by the way, and you can only propagate for your own use in your garden.
