Sun/Shade question re: Salvias

I'm getting ready to plant one of my other raised beds. I positioned it in my yard to have morning sun (thats anything before noon, right?)

Well now that the winter sun is changing & heading towards becoming a summer sun the bed from 6-7 p.m. at night is in full sun as it has circled around my house. I have large oaks that shade everything else in that area during the day so it was getting sun up til about noon. What's a "body" to do??

Do I try and build some make shift arbor with shade screen or pitch the idea of having a.m. Salvias in it and go for ones that take more than morning sun. Isn't it kind of a shocker to be hit with the end of the day sun after having been in shade for the afternoon? We get anywheres from 80-100* dry heat temps in the summer months. Any advice is appreciated. I'm having a tough gardening month, prayers are appreciated :)
