The formation of aerial roots is no sign to panic. It probably means your humidity is quite high. How big is the pot versus the size of the plant? Does the root system saturate the growing medium? If not, repotting to a larger size is probably not necessary.

I pinched the plants back because I have my lights as high as I can get them and the plants as low as I can get them and they were still touching the lights. I only pinch back the tip hoping the side shoots will start growing faster and the height will hold back a bit.

These are in 3 inch pots, the roots are not coming out of the holes but some are coming out of the sides. They are peat pots. The plants range between 6 and 10 inches tall.

I still have 3-4 weeks before I can safely plant them outside.
