I have some seed sown also. My inf. was that Jupiter's Distaff should be in shade/bright shade with friable soil. It seems the yellow toned Salvias prefer the light shade or some 'a.m.' sun. I always wonder exactly what 'a.m.' sun means - anything before noon?? - inland that can still be pretty strong in the Summer. You sparked another question I am gonna post also. I know what you mean about conflicting inf. when you are searching the net. Maybe one of our "experts" we so appreciate will chime in with the answer:)
