Been reading about the fires in the Santa Cruz Mtns., and the first person who came to mind is Betsy Clebsch, who reportedly lives there. Anyone have info on how she and her wonderful Salvias are faring?

RE: Anyone have info on Betsy?

If you travel up CA 84 (La Honda Road) from Woodside up to Sky Londa crossroads from the back side of Stanford University, the Summit Road fire is in the canyon to the east of the crossroads (Santa Clara valley side). If they can't control the fire, it will reach Skyline Drive, but a few miles north from the side road where Betsy lives. J. L. Hudson is further down the road, and his evacuation road to Skyline Drive is far less convenient.

Everyone is on alert and coping with smoke. Residents like Betsy and JLH would have to evacuate towards the south, towards Santa Cruz. They are on the Pacific ocean side of the crest, not in the canyon where the fire is.

Here is a link that might be useful: Summit fire URL

Thanks so much, Rich. I was hoping you'd post that info.
