From what I've read, this is a more difficult salvia to germinate. Two weeks and "nothing" sounds normal. Germination info at hardyplants.com says:

Salvia glutinosa - Try 4 weeks at 68-75ºF, if no germination, 4 weeks at 33-39ºF, then 68-75ºF. Surface sow seeds, light helps with germination.

Hi juneroses, I think there is some truth to what you posted. We shall see if anything happens after 4 weeks or longer. I am also doing the same thing to salvia patens seeds and 2 of them germinated after 3 days. Thanks for your comments.
