I'd like to try my newly puchased black and blues in containers. I'll treat them as annuals in my zone. Since they get so large, how big of a container would you recommend? There would be one to a container since I'm assuming two or three would be way too crowded. I'm thinking of adding some sweet potatoe vine to the container also.

I'm not sure in gallons, but I have one in a container about 2 feet across. The bigger the container the better, since they dry out quickly in the small ones I overwinter them in. Where are you in PA. I'm on the border of zone 6/7 and successfully overwinter them in the ground, under piles of fall leaves.

I stuck mine in one of ward's description of a 2ft trough (mine is also 1ft wide and about 9" deep). I have 2 B & Bs in with 3 Jacob Cline monardas. Am imagining the mass that will eventually form in there. LOL Hoping a hummer will see them when they bloom!
