These are grown in clay soil on the west side of the house with plenty of sun. The day time temperature has been in the mid to high 80's. Night time temperature has been in the high 50's to low 60's. At the rate they have been growing, I should have a hedge of pineapple sage by Christmas. I am amazed at the difference in the plant structure. The one pineapple sage that is still in a 12" pot looks leggy and bare. The ones in the ground that I made from rooting cuttings look so much healthier. The stems are thicker(about pencil size)and the plant is not leggy.
