Help with Red Salvia?

Hi Everyone! I'm hoping someone can help me out. I fell in love with these at the nursery. Bought them, brought them home, planted them, and lost the tag. So now not only do I not know the name, but as you can see by the photo, I don't know how to care for them. At first they were so pretty! I grouped them with African Marigolds, looked beautiful. But I have a feeling I should not have done that! Marigolds are doing very well, but the Salvia (if that is in fact what these are) are struggling to survive. Can someone advise me as to how I han save them? Should I separate them, or is too late to move them? I really appreciate any help I can get.

Here is a link that might be useful: Red Salvia

I think you need to move the Salvia from its more robust neighbor. You can dig it up, but take a larger root ball than the original pot.

Salvia Splendens

Those are splendens I believe. I buy them every year.
