I was at the local garden centre the otner day and saw a beautiful salvia. The flower grew on a spike, the flowers themselves were small but intense and very soft fuzzy. It was a haf to have.

then much to my surprise on the next shelf I saw a very dis-similar plant with a shorter thicker spike flower in red. This flower looked nothing at all like the blue salvia but it has the same name!

Do both plants belong in the same family or was the red one misnamed?
