Why doesn't Salvia koyamae set seed?

I have grown this great plant for a couple years now, and I have yet to collect a seed from it, even though it has flowered and flowered. I do not think it is a pollinator effect, because bumble bees work the flowers quite a bit. Has anyone gotten seeds from their plants?

Unlike its cousins S. nubicola and S. glutinosa, S. koyamae has never set seed for me either. It may be self-incompatible or merely lack a proper pollinator.
