Well The Pachyphyllas are indeed blooming, and what a display! I probably have spoiled them with water and now I am backing off the irrigation. I have been volunteering my time helping a friend gussy up his park. I have wanted it to be as sustainable as possible. What I noticed early on is that nothing (so far) has liked to eat Salvias, as so that put them on the top of my list! They ARE beautiful!!!!!! Recently the 'Mulberry flambe' has just started to bloom. The color of the bracts are about the same as the other pachyphyllas that I started from seed, but the color of the flower is a very very deep blue, almost violet. It will be interesting to see how they do further, but for now, the ones I started by seed are incredible!!!!!!
