Hi all, is this salvia? If it is can you tell which one? My wife loves it and would like me to plant a few for her but I'm not 100% sure I even know what the stuff is.

I'd greatly appreciate your help.

Wow that's a beautiful plant but not a salvia. I think it's known as Russian sage-Perovskia.

It sure looks like Perovskia to me. This genus is related to the European Salvias. See the Salvia Research Projects discussion

Believe it or not this specimen is part of the landscaping at our neighborhood McDonalds.
