I have a single B&B in a large terra cotta pot -- 24" across top, tapers to 12", and is about 24" tall. It's been there for 2 years now.

It seems to need a lot of regular water -- daily here in CA's Central Valley.
It benefits greatly by getting fertilizer --- both Osmocot and a weekly splash of diluted liquid.
I prune it down to about 4-6" in the winter and it does just fine thru' the cold.

I've had mine in 14 inch pots for several years. Maintenance consists of pruning both stems and occasionally roots, repotting once a year, usually spring, and a couple applications of slow-release fertilizer. They do need protection from hard freezes in central North Carolina. I use my cold frames and my greenhouse for this.

What would you consider a "hard" freeze? If I could just bring it in or in the crawl space or shed on those nights it would be easier then keeping it in all winter.
