Salvia madrensis...WOW!

Phylla

This is my third year growing Salvia madrensis, and I just love it! Great huge leaves, tremendous stems, to 6-7' tall: all that is wonderful enough, and then, patience rewards you with a beautiful soft yellow fall bloom. Very lovely when sited to catch the fall afternoon light.

One overwintered well here in NC, in an odd winter that denied some established S. leucanthas their spring. I'm now growing Salvia m. "Redneck Girl", from Plant Delights, and it's even better, with bold red stems.I'd grow this plant even if it didn't flower, or overwinter.

Am new to this forum, and searched pages back, but saw no wows! that my salvia-loving self has for this plant. Any others???
