 o
reliable mail order seed company for blue angel?

I'd like to buy some salvia Blue Angel seeds from a U.S. seed company to send to a friend in Virginia. Could anyone recommend a trustworthy company? From google, I've found Park seeds and they seem impressive. Are they o.k.?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try Chiltern Seeds in England. Seeds of patens are generally scarce.

According to the Garden Watchdog site, you have about a 50/50 chance of having a positive experience with Park Seed Co..

Swallowtail Garden Seeds has 'Blue Angel', as well, and they seem to have more positive ratings.

Good luck in your search!

Isn't the name 'Blue Angel' just a "commercial" name for the species, Salvia patens, which should be readily available from seed. I got seeds of Blue Angel from Chiltern seeds 2 years ago, and could see no difference from the species. Lovely plant, whatever!
