Here is salvia taraxacifolia, which I started from seed this year. This is the only one that is blooming so far. It has a citrus smell which is very pleasant.
The form I got from Ginny Hunt has a scent that is citrus-like, but I characterize it as having the scent of old-fashioned Lava soap, which had some grit in it to help remove oil and grease.
My dad always used Lava soap so I know what your mean about the grit, but I don't remember what it smelled like! Does your plant have the same color flowers?
It is one of your grandchildren again! Glad you like it! I have multiple plants so I will save the seeds, since I think they are not tolerant of our winters.
