I bought S. fulgens from Cabrillo in May, and it seems I have the Mt. Popocatapetl form. The huge bracts are very interesting. The plant is suffering a bit, however. Many leaves are turning yellow (with green splotches), and an infloresence seemed to be dying, until I cut it off and put it in water.
I don't want to lose this plant. It's still in its 1 gallon pot, as we are getting ready to move (to a 1 acre place).
Any tips? thanks
