When you put these in the ground, most of the bare stem should go underground. I planted one of these last year and it is now enormous, the size of a shrub. I have cuttings planted elsewhere and they are growing nicely. Once they are well-rooted, you don't have to worry about them very much. Yes, I think you will have these for a long time. Becky

Becky, am I understanding you correctly? I can plant the plant deeper than it sits in the pot, kinda like planting a tomatoe plant deeper? Pat
