S.Guaranitica Omaha When will it bloom?

I am trying a new type of Salvia for me this year. I have three large pots with Salvia guaranitica Omaha which is at least 4 feet tall but no hint of a bloom yet. The tag says "Large indigo flowers" but doesn't give a hint when I can expect them. My Black and Blue has been blooming for awhile now. This salvia has vareigated leaves.

This sage is a variant of the Costa Rican form of S. guaranitica. It should be a late bloomer, starting around late July or early August for you. I have propagated a number of the CR guaraniticas which developed variegation, but the plants were weak, and the variegation unstable.

Thanks Rich! Hopefully I won't have that much longer to wait then. My plants appear to be strong and healthy at this point.

Well here it is mid August and still no blooms! The foliage looks very healthy and they are more like 5 feet tall now. I am getting really impatient to see these blooms!

Blooming will be delayed by lots of cool, wet weather. My friends in New England report Seattle- like weather, and I suspect you are getting the same.
