Bummer!

I guess that the shipping company doesn't cool it's trucks. I got my Van Houtti, but I think it is dead. The box was almost too hot to touch... I think it got cooked. I emailed the nursery....now, if they replace it, will the next one just get cooked too?

yeah, I did that... and lost the Van Houtti... course, I know the place better where I am going to plant it, so I probably could have redone the fall planting. Besides, no one wants to ship plants in the Fall! They're already frozen over!

The same thing happened to me too. I had two shipments that took 14 days and 22 days each. The plants arrived crispy brown inside the boxes all because USPS did not ship them via Priority Mail as indicated on the outside of the boxes. Why, who knows. Maybe they could not read. Worst of all, they refused to accept responsiblity for their mistakes. Sorry, I just had to vent.....

kal... get the nursery to complain... they'll care if a bigger customer complains!
