Hi , I was fortunate enough to get 2 of the Black and Blue Salvia .

Not knowing that they were different than the annual red salvia I planted each one in their own 10 inch container with Dascia to spill over the edge .

They are doing well but they are only about 2 feet high and one is showing a flower head.

They are in full sun and seem to be bright green in leaf color . Also I know they can grow to be quite large .

My questions are

1. Is the 10 inch container too small ?
   
2. Is the leaf color supposed to be light green or dark green? Could it be it needs more food due to being in a container as well as being in full sun ? (I have fed twice since planting it back in the end of May)
   
   Please let me know because I am very impressed with what I have seen in pictures with this plant and would like to see it at it's full potential!
