New to Salvia! Need to pick the right one!

I have a circular shaped island right by the side of my garage facing the street. There is a weeping cherry tree in the middle of the island. I have a border around the island. Tried mums/tulips everything in the border. Deer will clean up everything. Someone told me about the Salvia.

Want to get your input here.

I need some hardy droght resistant colorful perennial. Really need some colors. Which variety is the right for Salvia?

I see Blue Fortune and Russian Sage. please advise.

May I suggest Salvia transslyvanica or Salvia pratensis 'Indigo'?

Russian Sage is not a Salvia.

Also, look for Salvia nemorosa 'Caradonna'. all hardy and drought resistant. You can see pictures of this on my site www.robinssalvias.com

Which part of the us are you in? This will effect your choices
for Drought tolerant Salvias. Are you needing heat or Cold tolerant salvias as well?
