Salvia greggii Cherry Queen

This is the 2nd year I've had a couple growing in sheltered spot about 50 yards from the Delaware River and I must sing its praises. This spring it took advantage of a break in the weather in late March and began blooming around the first of April, a record for me. Since then it has been perfect, suffering from none of the mid summer scraggles and in another couple of days will have been blooming for seven months. If you haven't grown it it has dark red flowers and shiny myrtle leaves.
