Is S. 'Frosty Spears' an S. trifasciata cultivar? Could you describe the flower, or better, send a photo? Thanks. Yale

The plant is not a S. tri. cultivar, it looks like a suffruticosa, with stolens, it grow quite large, light green and may have darker green vertical stipes. It's an attractive plant. Just give it plenty of room, it would be a good basket plant. Good night Yale. Norma

My S. parva 'Gilt Edge' started blooming about three days ago and is opening nicely. I got this plant as a cutting last October and it has spent the winter in a sunny kitchen window, getting more water than is usually recommended in this season. Three of the bottom leaves have yellowed and died, the other leaves and the flower stalk look excellent, so I don't know if I've done well or badly. The flowers are white tinged with purple and green. They are extremely fragrant: I can smell them from twenty feet away.

I've placed my spring Sansevieria order with Brookside Nursery and will be getting my plants (cuttings) as soon as the weather's warm enough to ship them. Ha HA! I'm looking forward to my new babies. Also to getting my Sansevierias out into the open air in April. No doubt the snails are waiting breathlessly as well.

'Frosty Spears' will have light pink buds, and mine has darker vertical strips going up the length on the new leaves. Melissa they don't seem to want to mail into the U.S. I have asked Alan several times already. That's okay I won't mail him my new species either. So there! Put out snail bait don't let them get your plants. Don't know how to send pictures yet to this forum, will get some instructions. Norma
