Sanseveria gracilis flower stalk

I recieved a cutting of this species I think around this past September. It is just now putting up a flower stalk. I know nothing about keeping this plant. I don't water it often, maybe once a month or a little more. My question is should I water it while the flower stalk is emerging or should I hold off watering until it has finished flowering? Thanks for any help.

You say nothing about your potting soil, or pot size, or if the plant is in a house, or a greenhouse; however, I doubt if changing your watwering habits one way or the other now will affect your plant. It will bloom.
