That's a nice plant, but it isn't S. cylindrica.

It looks like my S. sufruitcosa, but I can't be sure unless I see the plant in more detail.

Wow...Awanda is here too. Nice little plant blooming you have there! It is amazing to me how many of the "hoya" people are also here in the "Sans" group. I guess if you love plants...you are just everywhere reading about the different ones you have. Ha.
Since I only ever had that one...I didn't think to look here until I recently picked up a cute little one in a painted pot at a plant store near here. I still have no idea what kind it is, but I am going to try to put a pick into a page somewhere & then post it here so I can get some feedback on it.
Anyway, it seems these plants (like most hoyas) are very easy care & do well in my S. Calif. dry air. So...I will no doubt have a bunch more of these things very soon to talk about. Ha.

Oh, that's not the full story. Josh (of hoya fame) petitioned Spike for this forum. We used to just post over at C&S for the most part.

Lots of plants have similar conditions that they like. So, if a person has room, they tend to fill it up with plants that do well for them in those conditions.

I know how excited you are.
It looks like the flower isn't open yet so you have more excitement ahead. I didn't know the blossoms open at night.

got a question about my sanseveria cylindrica. some of the shooots are turning yellow almost white. what am i doing wrong with it? only water it when needed and don't let water stand in it. can u help me on this?

It could be caused by many things.

1.Just old and have previously flowered
2.Lack of watering correctly.
3.Poor roots
4.Poor air circulation
5.What is wong with the roots
6.Too much water when it is cold
7.Inconsistant watering
8.Need fertilizer, but not when it is cold
9.Burnt tips
10, Needs to be divided

11. Needs larger pot
12. Need fresh mix
13. Too much peat moss
14. Too cold
    This should give you something to think about.
