More Yellow stripes appearing on Laurentii.

I noticed that my Sans. Tri~ Laurentii has been producing more yellow than normal. They have been pot bound for a really long time. Can't be sure but it could be almost 40 years. I know they were in a pot in 1976 when I got married and brought them to my house. Never did anything except to change the pot to another the same size. I plan to do a repotting and fresh soil this spring.

Also when the new leaves appear they are all green with no yellow then after a few months the yellow start to increase. Some with wide yellow margins other with 2 to 3 extra stripes. These leaves are only 3 - 4 months old and are almost as high as the others. This one grew thru the winter while my others slept.

I even noticed this on my hahnii Black Jade.

I think this is cool. I will see what develops.

Stush,, nice... ok, you notice the ones that are darker green here, what causes the darker shades and brighter yellows here, this is exactly what I was trying to describe on the other thread. is it soil, no direct lighting. What have you noticed in your experience?

I answered already on the other post. I believe it is due to bright light not direct sun. During summer, the sun is too hot for them. It will cause the leaves to dull up.

Stush, I have some older sans inherited from my mother and they are doing the same thing you show in your pictures. In fact, the green on some of the leaves is almost a solid dark green instead of variegated. I enjoy watching the development of color and different variegation patterns.
Greg, I'm loving the 'Moonshine'. I got mine from HD 3/4 years ago. When the leaves mature, they turn green and lose the grey/white coloring.
