I love my Sansevieria parva. It took a while to get established, but after that initial year, it grows faster than any other Sansevieria I have. I started with one small plant, and it flowered after one year. It sent out a runner and produced five pups that winter. I'd bet that each of those pups has produced a couple of pups themselves since. I do get more pups after a mature plant flowers - now my pots are bursting every spring. I've traded a lot of these over the years, and everyone has been pleased. I grow mine in terra cotta, but friends grow theirs in mossed baskets so the runners can hang. I don't like hanging plants as a rule, but the S. parva looks neat - people know it isn't a spider plant, but frequently can't figure out what it is. And the flowers do have a nice aroma (but they do get sticky indoors in the winter).

I also grow a couple fo the S. parva variegates, and these have been VERY slow to get started - over 3 years in some cases. I can't wait until I have a pot bursting with the parva 'white' on my hands.
