I would pot them in plastic. clay sucks water out of the soil, it is in competition with the roots. So I would repot them in a nice drainy succulent mix, propping them up with a thin layer of rocks and pebbles to hold them steady, since with no roots and a drainy mix, they can be wobbly.... and i would give a bit of bottom heat, like eighty degrees and keep them just moist. this is my standard method for encouraging root growth on just about EVERYTHING.

I thought some "Hahnii" were just contrary when it came to root growth; tended to be slow at producing roots. Do I remember wrongly?

I have had some recent success with a Sansevieria Golden Hahnii. A new baby just appered above the potting mix. It is potted in a lightweight soil-less porous mixture. Superthrive has encouraged root development.

I use some bone meal in my soil, not a lot, about 1/2 tsp. These plants are picky about water, make sure the soil dries out a bit before watering again, and grow in the shade. H. 'Streaker' seems the easiest to grow for me.
