|Yesterday I was invited to be a judge for the San's contest.
The contest was a part of "Chonburi International Flora Exhibition 2008"
which hold at Chonburi's City Hall, east coast of Thailand.
"Num" my friend at the entrance
Some tropical garden display
The contest area
The entrants brought San to the registration corner
Ready for judgement
Before the judgement time, I and my friend visited to a San shop.
Mr. Bunlue Lodwan, the president of Thai Sansevieria Club with his pride,
variegated San. 'Samurai' (the Arabian's San. 'Salaf' which could be a San. rorida complex)
A typical San. 'Samurai' in mature size.
We enjoyed with our 1st issue of "Lin Mungkorn"
the journal of Thai Sansevieria Club
Thai's variegated San
After lunch, we were ready for judging
A very rare variegated San. ehrenbergii
cristed San. 'Samurai'
Mr. Adisorn's cristed & monstrosed unregistered hybrids
And container garden which I've posted some pictures in another thread.
My friends, the owner of Nubanant Plants Nursery with their wonderful garden.
Judging !
Me with some of the other's first prized.
And the best of show is Mr. Petch Rungkasutra's San. cf. humiflora.
Mr. Petch, on the left, with the judge, Mr Surat Wanno of Ban Kampu Tropical Gallery.
"I do hope you all will enjoy with San..."
Super, super photos as usual. Your photos are so beautiful.
Thanks for sharing them.

"sanse mania from indo ..."
Hi...where do all those gorgeous sanse come from (and where do they go)?? Would love to take care of one or two (preferably ALL of them..he..he).
Have to admit you guys in Thailand do know how to get the very best of plants (and I don't just mean sanse)
Hanhan, are you from Indonesia? If yes, than that makes two of us...
My collection of sanse is still quite limited, do you know where we can get good variety (at a cheap price, of course)...
Hi,my name is Kamal from Brunei Darussaam, what a nice pic of sanse there are,I like to have some of those sanse, who do i contect, thanks.
Wow!!! How happy I am to feel the same way in my local nursery. My $5 sans thrill me. I can't get involved in the hi-priced ones. I can see the relationship with agavies and aloes. Thanks for the pictures. It was a dream vacation to Thailand.
Very well grown specimens. You need good spacing with well defined light to grow sansevierias to these qualities.
I can't help and ROFLOL by seeing the pedestals for the plants. Are these made from tree trunks or are they fake? This is so funny to see this.
The Sansevieria Samurai variegated would easily make variegated pups from cutting up the leaves and planting them in moist vermiculite and perlite.
