Growing underwater!

I was cleaning out my greenhouse this spring and put these in a bucket to pot up and forgot about them. They have been growing underwater (completely submersed) for sometime in the open sun. Just tonight I drained out the water (you can see the black ugly muck in the bottom. Im pretty impressed with its groweth habits and have several pots growing. Also would like to know what varity this is? Thanks.
