I really don't think it makes a difference... I bought my first pot with nearly 5 full size plants in it. I seperated them out into three pots. I still have the main clump. I will depot and remove a pup every now and then. Then pot back up, mostly the same, just without that pup.

If you want lots of this plant, remove the pups and pot up seperate. If you like the group look of multiple plants in the pot, pot up a size and leave together. This is one of those 'esthetic' choices that you have to make based on what You like!

They are a pleasureable plant that takes little care and provides much color and light for the effort. Enjoy yours!

The shoots are growing very upright-not spread out like a bird's nest type of S.Hahnii that I have. I was wondering if I give a shoot more room-would it "spread out. Well I will find out because my plan it to cut off the two shoots that look like they are busting out of the pot. The rest of the plant will have a little more room and I will watch the growth of the pups-I love my little sansevieria cluster of plants!

BTW the S. hahnii leaf that finally sprouted 2 pups is really putting out some growth and my S. trifasciata is just about done flowering. I have to mention how proud I was when people would comment that they had never seen a
M-I-L's tongue flower as they walked thru my breezeway! Diane
