Snake Plant Surviving Root Rot

ryoshioka

Hi All,

Thanks for your many tips on helping to grow my snake plant. Unfortunately he got root rot last month. He lost about 50% of it stalks and when I repotted him, he had maybe 6-8 stalks left and very little root structure. I repotted him in cactus soil and a new unfinished ceramic pot. Since then, he has had 2 more stalks die and I have had to clip his larger leaves to keep him from falling out of the pot.

My question is: how long does it take him to recover? Or, when do I know if the whole plant is dead?
