Creating Variegates in Sansevierias

RainforestGuy

Many sansevierias tend to form variegated plants naturally. Many produce variegates somewhat naturally in a slow process of offsetting.

Many form variegates from rooting leaves, stems and shoots spliced up and then rooted.

Whomever said to be sure that the leaf cutting is right side up. I can safely sy this is again misinformation as sansevierias will root and develop shoots no matter what end is facing up, or down.

S. hallii is famous in producing variegates from leaf cuttings.

This is a rooted leaf with variegated offset. If you see a leaf with a variegated stripe in it, you will have greater chances of getting the most out of cutting to achieve variegated shoots to develop.
