Long and Lanky

Hello: I bought two Mother-in-law tongue plants at Wal Mart about a year or two ago. I separated the two plants, putting the taller sections in one pot and the shorter sections in another. The taller pot took off and has many new stems, however, now they seem too tall(about 4'), thin, and lanky, drooping over. The other pot is still short and just now getting some new stems.(I had this one outside for a few weeks thinking it needed the summer heat). They were potted in regular potting mix and in the beginning were both in a window facing east (morning sun but bright light.) I usually water once a month with a diluted houseplant fertilizer.

What do you think I should do with the long and lanky plant. It keeps getting new stems so I know it's okay but really looks unsightly. Thanks.
