A well grown S. cylindrica v clindrica does have three leaves if grown properly, now I know why mine has the three leaves, I don't starve the plant. Norma

It also states this on the plant description for this species.

This species is grown here as a landscape plant. Usually the mature, flowering rosettes have more than three leaves - five to seven or more. Marlon.
