split/repot now ok??

Hello. I just bought a S. trifasciata....one of the streaky types. Not sure the name (Bantel's?) as there was no tag. Anyway, it is in about a 5" clay pot, three streaked growths and one green reversion. I want to definately remove the green, but could I split the others into two or three at this time of year?? It is getting cool here in the northeast. Thank you for any input.

You could remove the green reversion now and split the whole pot up, but unless there was a compelling reason, I would wait until next spring.
