Recent Sans. Adoptees

Hi Folks,

These recent adoptees were leftover from my Indoor Gardening Society Meeting, I seem to be the resident Sans. foster mother.

Look at all these lovelies: these first ones were really an armload, should have had a pic taken w/ my arms full of 'em like a baby.

a bit beat up, but still, freebies.

Here's some smaller ones I suspect to be Moonshine, cleaned up, took 'em apart & potted 'em up.

and the single pup shot

A different handful of adoptee, darker green (I love that it has no yellow at all.)

Lots of goodies to play with!!

RE: Recent gift of Sans. leaf

A recent leaf w/ which I was gifted, the grower recalled I'm crazy for variegates & tells me that when the leaf broke off, he thought of me; how lovely!

some closer shots of the variegation

and another, maybe a bit less glare

Am VERY curious what the new pup will look like!!

Wow PG, those look great. Do you know what kind of Sans the all green one is? I can't wait to see what your cutting turns into although I am concerned if it will indeed keep that variegation.

Karen,
You will need all your expertise with that variegated leaf. They are the most hardest to root and most always reverts back. Good luck, I too very curious as to what will come out of it. Please keep us up on it.

Sorry Planto, they all came no ID. Maybe in Spring I'll give you some of this, or when it pups. I can't keep all these guys, I won't have the room, I'm pretty certain of that.

Well have to see what happens Stush, the top of that leaf is drying back already. I hope it pups before it dies. I wonder if I should consider hydro ... hum Won't be surprised if it reverts, tho I have to ask an ID, maybe I'll be lucky & it'll actually have a known ID.

PG,
Hehe, I'm running out of room myself! I've given away a handful of Sans to my Mother already... now she doesn't have anymore room. Whoops...

RE: Recent Sans. Adoptees

Nice find! They upper ones look to me to bek a very large 'Moonshine'.......or perhap if they are too tall for 'Moonshine' than probably S. trifasciata 'Silver Queen'. That is an interesting looking variegated leaf......doesn't hurt to try rooting it!

Well Purp, anytime you're in NYC, just let me know ;>)

Another lovely Sans. suspected Moonshine that happened my way earlier in the year. I'm smitten w/ this pale coloration & wish these didn't darken as they mature, but it seems that's what they do (pls. excuse the crusty lookin' pot).

I don't see that happening, but if so, I will definitely try to hook up, thanks PG!!

The last one is especially pretty. And your pic reminds me I have 2 clay pots outside that I need to put away until they have a purpose next spring. Most likely they will house Sans!
