Any one ever grow quince in Florida?

I can't find any references for quince trees growing in Florida, although according to websites and zone maps, they should grow in north and central Florida.

Well, I planted some quince seeds that I got from some grocery store fruit early fall, and after our hard freeze (19ish degrees) hit, I noticed little bumbs in the soil, and upon further inspection, three of them had some green starting to pop out. I'm just wondering if they're going to survive the summers here. Of course, the seedlings are going to be in a shaded area for the first at least two years.

I understand that these probably won't product true fruit from the parents and am just really interested in having something a bit different for my area.
