Alisa, Check out the "Growing Pecan Trees" discussion thread on this forum - way down toward the bottom of it, someone posted a link to a list of pecan nurseries - some of them may carry Podsednik, in addition to other varieties. |

| Texas Pecan Nursery carries Podsednik. Call and ask for it by name, its not listed on their website. http://www.texaspecannursery.com/ Fusion |

My understanding - and I have seen and eaten a handful of Podsednik nuts, is that it's grown mainly for the 'shock value' of its nut size - the kernel quality is nothing to whoop and holler about. I've got one tree of it grafted & growing here, but have my doubts about whether it'll be able to mature its nuts here in the frigid northland(southern KY). Oh, well, maybe it'll cross with some of my northern pecan varieties, and a chance seedling will inherit nut size from Podsednik and early maturity from one of the other varieties. Somebody's children may get a surprise. |
