Where Can I Buy Zephirine Drouhin Roses?

I would like to buy a Zephirine Drouhin rose but I've heard you can't expect much from them in the first two years. Does anyone know where I can buy a Zephirine Drouhin rose that is more mature than the bare root plants usually sold online? I'm located in Wilmington, North Carolina and I'd love to find find one of these plants locally if anyone knows of any.

Sorry, I don't know local, but have you checked with Chamblee's? Their plants are not shipped bare root. They are small but grow quickly, especially the climbers. Two of the floribundas I ordered this spring were blooming when I opened the box. You might also post on the Rose or Antique Rose forum. Good luck, you've chosen a beautiful rose.

tlanci: I will definitely check with Chamblee's since you recommend them. I'll do that later today. Maybe I'll also post to one of the forums you recommended. Thanks very much for the tips!

The new Parks Gardens catalog arrived today featuring a section (pg. 34) of climbing plants including your rose. Reasonable price!

I have had great luck from Antique Rose Emporium. They won't ship during heat of Summer but might be worth the wait. Most roses are 2 gal plants. http://www.antiqueroseemporium.com/rose-603.html |
