I have always been told that all palm trees have a shallow root system so I have never been concerned about planting them near the drain field. I recently came across an article that date palms have a deep root system and not to plant it near a drain field. I recently planted one and it is about 3 feet or so away from one of the lines. Should I be concerned about this and move the date palm? Thanks for any advice.
